The first-touch system of FIFA 13 transforms the way in which the players control the ball and thus makes it less possible to always gain full control over the ball in the first touch. This gives the defenders more oportunities to regain possesion. The second generation of the unique Player Impact Engine, expands the physical challenges in such a way that they no longer just include collisions, but also challenges without a ball. The defenders push and tear to gain possesion and use their size and strength to force the oppostition into making the wrong decisions even before the ball finds them. The tactical freekick combinations in FIFA 13 provide the tools necessary to create more lethal and unpredictable freekick combinations.
